Yes. The Handy Fixer is fully insured for public liability and property damage. Our team has the skills, tools, and trade knowledge to carry out work professionally and safely.
We charge a R350 call-out fee, which is refundable if the client accepts the quotation and proceeds with the project. This amount will be deducted from the final invoice.
However, if the quotation is not accepted, the full call-out fee remains payable to cover the technician’s time and transportation costs. In such cases, the invoice will be sent via email or WhatsApp and is payable via EFT.
For site visits located beyond a 20 km radius, a non-refundable call-out fee of R350 applies. Due to the increasing costs of fuel and labour, this policy ensures we recover basic operational expenses associated with dispatching a technician to your location.

Yes. All workmanship is backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty. If any issues arise related to our work, we will return to resolve it at no extra charge.

We do not perform:
- Major electrical work (e.g., DB boards, rewiring)
- Plumbing installations requiring a licensed plumber
- Structural alterations or roof replacements
However, we can recommend trusted professionals in these areas.
We take cleanliness seriously:
- Furniture and surfaces are masked before dusty work
- We use dust control tools and methods where possible
- All waste is removed, and the work area cleaned thoroughly upon completion
We operate Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00. After-hours or emergency jobs may be considered by prior arrangement.

Yes. A standard 60% deposit is required for most jobs before commencement, especially if materials are being supplied. The balance is due upon completion.
We accept:
- EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
- Cash (where appropriate)
- Payment confirmations must be provided for EFTs before work begins.
We can supply all necessary materials and include them in the quotation. If you prefer to supply your own materials, we’re happy to quote for labour only.
Lead times vary depending on workload and the nature of the job. Smaller jobs can often be scheduled within a few days. Urgent repairs can sometimes be prioritized—please contact us to confirm availability.
Yes. We regularly work with landlords, property managers, and tenants. We can liaise with tenants for access and updates while keeping the owner or manager informed.

Yes, we offer a flat hourly rate for standard handyman tasks. Our rate typically covers general labour for jobs such as repairs, fittings, minor installations, and maintenance work. However, for larger or more complex projects, we may provide a fixed quotation based on the scope of work.
Please note that a minimum charge may apply for small jobs, and travel costs could be added for locations beyond our standard service area. Contact us for a detailed quote tailored to your specific needs.
